Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Meet and greet at 0800hrs.Depart from Kampala by road and head south west to
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Have a stop over at the Equator for an
informative talk and photos, and continue to Mbarara where you will stop for
lunch. You drive through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds
of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. You then ascend into
the kigezi highlands, then head higher to where you can see the triangular peaks
of the Virunga volcanoes before dropping into a valley, to Bwindi Impenetrable
national Park. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
After an early breakfast, report to the ranger station for registration and
briefing by one of the ranger guides. Enter the gorilla sanctuary for tracking,
pushing your way through the undergrowth and parting thick creepers. The time
taken and the terrain vary with the movement of these great giants. If you have
the afternoon free, you may decide to take a guided walk on the Munyanga River
trail, which is an ideal short walk or take a guided village walk to see how
Ugandan live. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight Dinner and overnight
at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 3: Bwindi to Kampala
After a morning breakfast, sadly return to Kampala with great memories of and
moments spent with the fascinating mountain Gorillas. You will have a stopover
in Mbarara for lunch. Drop-off to your respective accommodation in Kampala or
transfer to the Airport to catch your flight.

4 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park / Kibale
Primates Forest
Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth national park
Drive towards western Uganda. Stop over at the local drum industry, the Equator,

Rift Valley towards Queen Elizabeth national park. The descent reveals an

Day 2: Game drive, Chimpanzee Primates Trekking and a Boat Trip
Queen Elizabeth national park’s diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical
forest, river, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible
abundance of wildlife. A game drive in this park, with massive Rwenzoris as a
backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest
hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, Uganda Kob, Topi and Bush buck. After game drive
and lunch, take a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. Dinner and overnight at

Day 3: Chimp Primates Tracking in Kibale Forest
After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest to track a variety of primate species.
Kibale National Park runs contiguous with the northern end of Queen Elizabeth,
but Kibale is much wetter with unique moist forest habitat and an extremely high
diversity of animals and plants. Primates located here include Red colobus
monkey, Mangabey, Olive baboons, L’hoest’s monkey, and several communities of
chimpanzee.

Day 4: Kibale to Kampala

Day 1: Kampala to Murchison:
Begin the panoramic drive North West via Luwero triangle and Masindi Town to
Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for a picnic lunch at the
spectacularly situated site at the top of the falls. From here you will continue
on, taking a ferry across the river to Paraa Safari Lodge. Game viewing on the
way makes your journey exciting as you look out for hippos, elephant, buffaloes
and many other animals. Enjoy the superb comfort and service of Paraa Safari
Lodge/ Sambiya River lodge/ Red Chili Camp.
Day 2: Game Drive and Launch trip
Enjoy a morning game drive on the northern bank where you may see elephant,
lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hartebeests and many more. After lunch, proceed for a
boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls.
Enroute you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds
like the unusual shoebill stork. Enjoy the abundant bird life, beautiful
scenaries, photography and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Murchison falls to Kampala
Proceed for a forest walk in Pabidi Forest. Primates resident in this forest
include red tailed monkeys, blues, red colobus and gray cheeked mangabeys.This
walk is excellent for birdwatching and for seeing primates at close quarters.
You will depart with packed lunch to Kampala arriving in the evening.

SAFARI The rain forest is spectacular and offers dramatic steeply forested
landscape and is incredibly dense with numerous animal trails allowing access to
tourists. Your guided walk in search of the chimps and other primates, may last
several hours. After lunch, enjoy a cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which joins
Lake Edward and Lake George. This waterway is filled with schools of hippos and
buffalos .Elephants are often spotted on the banks.Overnight at Mweya Safari

Day 3: Queen – Kampala
Take an early morning game drive to watch the early risers and predators
returning to their hideouts. This provides excellent opportunities to see lions,
Leopards, Giant forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Uganda and Bush bucks and many
more. Drive back with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch finally drive to the city
centre.
Day 1: Kampala to Fort portal
You will get briefed about the camping safari and then start off for Fort Portal
passing via Mityana and Mubende. Have a stop over at Mubende to see the Nakayima
tree. Picnic lunch en route and continue for Fort portal reaching it late
afternoon. Relax and explore the nearby Crater Lake. Overnight dinner and
accommodation at your preferred campsite
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking tour
An early morning breakfast will do before proceeding for tracking of the noisy
chimps and other primates crashing through the high canopy of the Kibale
tropical rain forest. Watching the colourful birds squawking in through the
tropical forest canopy. Have packed lunch and then take an afternoon nature walk
through the Bigodi swamp to wetland birds as well as some of the projects run by
local community. Retire in the evening, Dinner and Overnight.
Day 3: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth national park

After breakfast drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Remember the game seen
will depend on the season. Visit the local community salt works at Lake Katwe, a
salty lake in Uganda. Get to know more about this salty lake and testing the
waters of this lake is a wonderful experience for those who have never tasted
salty waters. Have lunch and later go for an afternoon game drive. Retire in the
evening, dinner and overnight: Mweya/Jacana (FB).
Day 4: Tracking in Kyambura gorge
After breakfast take an excursion to the Kyambura gorge nearby to track the fast
moving and elusive chimpanzees. Chimpanzees are one of man's closest relations
and therefore seeing them is a wonderful adventure. Alternatively go for a
nature walk in the Maramagambo Forest to see different tree species, primates,
the bat colony and the blue lake. After lunch take alaunch cruise on the Kazinga
Channel where different animals such as hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and an
array of water birds can be seen. Go on the hunt for the tree-climbing lions
lounging on old fig trees in the Ishasha region. Dinner and Overnight at Jacana/
Ishasha Wilderness Camp /Ishasha Bandas.
Day 5: Queen to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the gorilla tracking
toursegment passing either via Ishasha, the home of the tree climbing lion, or
take the alternative route through cultivated expanses. This will depend on the
road situation. Explore the village and the native communities if time
permitting. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma homestead / Buhoma Community bandas
Day 6: Gorilla Tracking tours
Take early morning breakfast and proceed to the Impenetrable forest for gorilla
tracking. Don’t forget your jungle boots since gorilla trackinginvolves walking
up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the endangered
gorillas camouflaged in the dense tropical vegetation. Time permitting; go for a
leisurely community visit to the local communities living around the park for a
cultural tour. Dinner and overnight Buhoma homestead / Buhoma Community bandas
Day 7: Depart for Kampala
Early in the morning, depart for Kampala passing you through the ever green and
beautiful countryside of Western Uganda. En route lunch and arrive in Kampala
late afternoon.

by taking a Night game drive looking for the rare species leopard, Night jars

pick you up and introduce you to you driver/guide who will thereafter be in
charge of your wellbeing. You will the drive to your lodge/hotel. If your flight
arrives in the morning, you will embark on the city tour and visit outstanding
and some of Kampala's historical sites with the help of our driver/guide. This
city tour will feature sites like Kasubi Tombs, Wamala tombs, Namugongo Martyrs
Shrine, Museums and craft shops. Or Visit Uganda Wildlife Education Centre.
Dinner and overnight at your hotel of a good standing.
Day 2: Kampala - Murchison Falls National Park.
After a scrumptious breakfast you will be transferred from your hotel to
Murchison Falls National Park. You will have a break at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
in Nakasongola to view some of the remaining Rhinos in Uganda.
This sanctuary has now been established to breed black and white rhino, and
restore Rhino populations in Uganda’s protected areas in a later stage. On
arrival, marvel at the Nile, compressing from 50 metres to squeeze through a 6
metre canyon dropping 40 metres with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful
rainbow, aplume of spray.
The sight of the Nile River, the world's longest river, winding its way through
the park and plunging through a narrow gap is unforgettable.
Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Nile Safari Camp/ Sambiya River Lodge/Red Chilli
Rest Camp.
Day 3: Morning Game drive and a boat trip in the evening.
After breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive to the rolling
plains where you have chances of viewing Lions, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Buffalo and
Elephant as well as many of the other mammals of the park. This is a beautiful
drive across Borassus Palm Forest and grassland savannah down to Lake Albert
where the Albert Nile heads north to the Sudan. After lunch, proceed for a boat
trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. The banks
of the Nile are home to many species. You may see huge Nile Crocodiles, big Pods
of Hippos and other wildlife that may come down to drink from the river. Return
for dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (High end/luxurious
accommodation), Sambiya River Lodge (Medium class accommodation) or Red Chilli
Rest Camp (Low budget/basic accommodation).
Day 4: Top of the falls – Kibale
Early game drive to the Top of Murchison Falls where you can have a close look
in to the gorge. Then head for Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale Forest is a
large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in
Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red
Colobus. Relax in the evening have dinner and over night at either Ndali lodge,
a stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled "Mountains
of the Moon"/ Mantana Tented Camp (High end/luxurious accommodation), Rwenzori
View Guest House/ (Medium class accommodation) or Primate Lodge Kibale Bandas
(Low budget/basic accommodation).
Day 5: Chimp trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
This morning you will go for the morning Chimpanzee tracking in the forest and
look out other primate including L’Hoests, Red colobus, Blues, red tailed and
Gary checked mangabey. This afternoon, you will have the opportunity of a guided
walk through Bigodi Swamp. Managed by the Kibale Association for Rural and
Environmental Organisation formed in 1992 with the aim of achieving social and
economic development for local communities, this swamp is a home to
approximately 137 bird species and its also rich in vegetation, such as wild
palms, polita figs and the dominant papyrus.
There are networks of forest trails that radiate out from the visitor centre,
allowing you to search for a number of species that shun the vicinity of the
main road.

Day 6: Kibale - Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve
Depart early after breakfast for Semliki Wildlife Reserve to catch up the day’s
activities
Semliki valley is known as the “Garden of Eden” and has a magnificent view of
the River Semliki meandering to Lake Albert. You will stop to visit a local
farmer and have a brief tour of his farm then take your picnic lunch at the hot
water springs arriving at the Lodge in the afternoon. The hot springs and crown
the day in the pygmy villages located near the Ituri Rainforest. The visit to
the villages has proven to be an interesting cultural experience. The guide will
have lunch arranged for you to be served as a picnic while you experience the
"real Africa and it secrets".
Dinner and over night at Semliki Safari Lodge (High-end accommodation) or
Camping (Low budget/basic accommodation).
Day 7: Semliki Valley
After breakfast, you will track the Chimpanzee in the Gallery Forest of the
Mugiri River.
After the trekking, you will have lunch and later go for a boat trip on Lake
Albert in search for the Shoebill returning to the Lodge in the evening. Dinner
and overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge (High-end accommodation) or Camping (Low
budget/basic accommodation).
Day 8: Semliki - Queen Elizabeth National park
Have an early morning game drive before heading for Queen Elizabeth National
Park arriving in the afternoon. Loosen up around the pool after lunch and later
go for an early evening game drive. Dinner and over night at Mweya Lodge or the
Institute of Ecology Cottages (basic accommodation).
Day 9: Game drive and Launch cruise

After lunch, enjoy the unique 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into
Lake Edward. A tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the shores.
Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants,
Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers are commonly
seen. Spend the night at either Mweya Lodge/ Jacana safari Lodge (High
end/luxurious accommodation) or the Institute of Ecology Cottages (Low
budget/basic accommodation).
Day 10: Queen Elizabeth - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast, you will have a game drive as you depart Queen Elizabeth for
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You may decide to relax in the afternoon or
take a nature walk (at an extra cost of $20 P.P) which will lead you to the
Munyaga Waterfall and a chance to see primates such as the Grey Cheeked Mangabey
Blue Monkeys and others species. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort/ Buhoma
Homestead/the Community Bandas.
Day 11: Gorilla Tracking - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Tracking the gorillas is the thrill of a lifetime! Early morning departure for
the mountain gorilla tracking. After the briefing from the authorities of the
park, set off for the trekking into the rain tropical forest searching for the
habituated gorilla family. Make sure you carry with you packed lunch and water.
The tracking may take between 2 and 8 hours but its well worth the effort. There
are always park guides who interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of
the Gorillas. In the afternoon relax at the camp or go for a Village walk to
visit the Local Batwa Community walk (at an extra cost of $15 per person)
returning to the Camp in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort/
Buhoma Homestead/the Community Bandas.
Day 12: Bwindi - Lake Mburo National Park.
After breakfast, you will proceed to Lake Mburo National Park passing through
the Switzerland of Uganda (Kabale) with fine-looking scenery and terraced
farming arriving at Lake Mburo National Park in the afternoon.
After lunch, you may decide to go for a boat trip or relax in your room. Lake
Mburo is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala,
Eland and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best places to
find African Fin foot, Papyrus and Bush Shrike. Go for an evening game drive and
overnight at Mihingo Lodge / Mantana Tented Camp/ UWA’s Tents.
Day 13: Lake Mburo – Kampala
After an early morning breakfast you will have a guided nature walk. A ranger
guide takes you on foot to the bush. Lake Mburo is the only place in this part
of Uganda where you can see zebra and Impala and it’s also the best place to see
the African Eland, Africa’s largest antelope! You will drive back to having a
stopover to look at the Royal Drum makers, the Equator. Over night at Cassia
Lodge or Holiday Express Hotel.
Day 14: Depart to Ngamba Island
This morning you will take a short briefing by your guide, you will be driven to
the shores of Lake Victoria to meet your 9.00am launch. The boat takes about 45
minutes across to Ngamba Island, crossing the Equator en-route. On arrival at
the island, home to 39 chimpanzees, you will be given a short introduction and
briefing on the sanctuary. It is fascinating to watch the chimps interact with
each other and with their keepers. In the relatively short amount of time you
are there you will be able to see such different personalities amongst the
group, with some whistling for food and others clapping. Obviously the ideal
option would be to re-introduce these orphaned chimpanzees to the wild however
this is not possible for a number of different reasons and the sanctuary is not
bad for second best. Overnight at NgambaIsland Camp (FB)
Day 15: After breakfast, you will return to the main land to meet you flight
back home.
Day1: Arrival / Transfer to Kampala
A representative from African Secrets Limited will Meet you on arrival at the
airport and transfer you to the hotel of your choice in Entebbe or Kampala. Have
a romantic dinner and over night at Cassia Lodge/Sheraton Hotel / Africana Hotel
/ Holiday Express Hotel.
Day 2: Kampala to Murchison Falls national park
After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked from your Hotel in Kampala
and be driven to Murchison Falls National Park. You will take a trip to
Nakasongora Rhino farm for Rhino viewing. Proceed to Masindi stop for lunch in
Masindi town. Take your drive to park; visit the fascinating top of Murchison
falls. Dine at Paraa Safari luxury Lodge/Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chili Camp.
Day 3: Game drive adventure and boat cruise in Murchison FallsMorning game drive
adventure. Afternoon take Boat cruise on River Nile up to bottom of the falls
seeing giraffe, lion, elephant, schools of hippos and many bird species like the
broad shoe bill stork. Overnight.
Day 4: Murchison Falls to FortPortal – Kibale national park
Depart for Fort Portal Kibale Primate Park. Check in at Ndali Lodge / Fort Motel
/ Rwenzori View Guest House/Toro Resort or Bandas for your dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking Safaris
Day for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park. Afternoon visit
Bigodi Swamp Eco site sanctuary for more primate and bird watching. Dinner and
overnight at your camp/hotel/ lodge.
Day 6: Semliki National park
After breakfast visit Semuliki National park in Budibugyo. Viewing the scenic
Rwenzori Mountains, the hot springs and if possible the pygmies will make your
honeymoon a memorable experience in your lifetime. Add a taste to your honeymoon
by taking a Night game drive looking for the rare species leopard, Night jars
etc. Overnight at Luxury Semuliki Lodge (for Budget option facility will be
driven back to Fort Portal)
Day 7: Semuliki to Queen Elizabeth National park
Take a morning game drive/nature walk, and drive to Queen Elizabeth National
Park. Check in at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge or Institute Hostel and
overnight.
Day 8: Game viewing boat/launch cruise on Kazinga Channel
Take a morning game drive, and in the afternoon, take a boat cruise on Kazinga
Channel looking for variety of game and bird watching. Evening will be at
Leisure. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana safari Lodge/
Institute Hostel
Day 9: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi gorilla national park
After breakfast you may do Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge- depending on
chimp permit availability and choice at the time of booking and continue to
Bwindi Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest camp/
Gorilla Resort lodge/Kitandara Tented Camp/ Buhoma Homestead or Buhoma Community
Bandas.
Day 11: Honeymoon with gorillas
Mix your love of birds with gorilla tracking on this day! This morning you will
report at the park office at 7:30 am to get ready for the Gorilla
tracking.Tracking takes 2 - 8 hours depending on the movement of these great
apes. Take with you lunch boxes and all the necessary gears to track the rare
Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences. Dinner
and overnight at Gorilla Forest camp/ Gorilla Resort lodge/Kitandara Tented
camp/ Buhoma Homestead or Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 12: Bwindi to Kampala
After breakfast drive to Kampala to be transferred to the Airport for your
homebound flight. After breakfast drive to Kampala or Entebbe in case your
flight falls on this day. In case of overnight arrangements can be done for your
hotel reservations and airport transfer on request.
