SAMBURU/LAKE NAKURU/MAASAI MARA
Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu
Depart Nairobi in the morning for Samburu
National Reserve arriving in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at a
lodge.
Day 2: Samburu National Park
Full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon
game drives. All meals and overnight at a lodge.
Samburu National Reserve is situated North of
Nairobi above the equator. It is home to species
unique to this park, the Gerenuk – also known as
‘Giraffe necked antelope’ due to it’s long neck
adapted for browsing the high bushes. Also the
Grevy’s Zebra, which differs from the common
Zebra by having wide stripes that do not go all
the way under its belly. Most felines can be
found as well as 365 species of birds. For the
‘Big Cats’ lovers, the Samburu is the place to
be!

Nakuru National Park
Depart Samburu after breakfast for Lake Nakuru
arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game
drive, view plenty of birds species, chances to
see the "Big five" and many others Dinner and
overnight at lion hill lodge.
Lake Nakuru National Park was the first National
Park in Africa to be set aside primarily for the
conservation of birdlife and the site of Kenya
's first Rhino Sanctuary. Famous world wide for
its great flock of pink Flamingo which is
estimated to number more than a million times,
you can also see some 400 Species of birds. The
lakes on the floor of the Great Rift Valley are
fed by three seasonal rivers, The Njoro, the
Makali and the Enderit, but has no outlet.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park - Maasai Mara
National Park
Depart Nakuru after breakfast for Maasai Mara
arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game
drive. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or luxury
tented camp.
Day 5: Maasai Mara National Park
Full day in Maasai Mara with game drives
(optional visits to Maasai Villages). All meals
and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp..
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and
abundance that it is difficult to believe: over
450 species of animals have been recorded here.
You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos,
crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras,
buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs,
buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and
elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the
most spectacular event of the natural world
takes place. This is the annual migration of
millions of wildebeest and zebra from the
Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and
pasture. Following on their heels are the
predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild
dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.
Day 6: Maasai Mara National Park
- Nairobi
Breakfast and return to Nairobi to arrive by
approximately 1400 hours.
