Maasai Mara National Park and The Great Rift Valley

This is a safari to Kenya’s greatest concentration of game - the Masai Mara. This is the place of the Great Wildebeest Migration and its the jewel in Kenya's tourism crown; it offers the chance of seeing the ‘Big Five’ and is home to the colourful Masai people. The tour also includes a visit to the Great Rift Valley with its stunning views. Lake Nakuru with its myriad flocks of flamingos among other attractions is a veritable birding paradise. Accommodation is in first class safari lodges.

Day 1: Nairobi / Maasai Maraart from Nairobi hotel at 8:00 am for Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a stop over for panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley at view point before crossing the vast Maasai plain to Naork town for a brief stopover. Continue to the Mara to arrive in time for lunch at your safari lodge. Afternoon game driveS to view Zebra, Elephant, Buffallo, Lion, cheetah and other plains game. Dinner and Overnight at the Safari Lodge or Luxury Tented Camp.

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.
Day 2: Maasai Mara
Proceed for early pre-breakfast game viewing drives before returning to the lodge for a late breakfast. Continue for day-long drives in search of wild animals in a purpose built vehicle that enables you to see also lots of bird life. Picnic lunch at the Hippo pool (Mara River). Return to the Safari Lodge/Luxury Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Maasai Mara / Nakuru
Early departure for Nakuru driving past arid and semi arid lands, through Lake Naivasha with its "White Mischief" history to Lake Nakuru. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives around this faamous lake before dinner and overnight at the Safari Lodge or Luxury Tented Camp. .

Day 4: Nakuru/ Nairobi
Proceed for early morning game drives at Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for large flocks of flamingoes, white pelican, Ibis, Egret, Marabou stork. Other animals like the rare black rhino as wel as Rathschild giraffe. Enjoy the scenic view of the park from the baboon cliff which is a great vantage point. After lunch return to Nairobi which is reached in the late evening.
