Kenya Sirimon route- Naromoru Day 1: Nairobi -
Old Moses Camp (3,300m)
Old Moses Hut
Lunch and Dinner
Morning transfer from Nairobi , arriving at
base camp for lunch. Drive to Sirimon Park Gate
at 2,600m
On completion of park entry formalities, begin
a 3-4 hour hike through forest. Ascend 700m
through the bamboo, rosewood and heather zones
to Old Moses camp
Dinner and overnight at Old Moses Camp (3300m)
Day 2: Mackinder Valley
Shiptons Hut
Full Board
Spend the day trekking largely through the
moorlands and through Mackinder Valley
Take a brief stopover for lunch in between
taking in the scenery and views of the main
peaks
Gain an elevation of 900m in approximately 7
hours
Dinner and overnight at Shipton's Hut (4,200m)
Day 3: Point Lenana
Mackinder's Camp
Full Board
Pre-dawn attempt of the summit starts at 3am.
You will hike for approximately 3 hours, up
steep slopes and rugged rocks to reach Point
Lenana (4,985m) to watch the sunrise.
Descend through the Lewis Glacier and up again
to the Austrian Hut, before joining the Naromoru
track and descending for 2 hours to reach
Mackinder's Camp
Breakfast and a day of relaxation at
Mackinder's Camp
Dinner and overnight at Mackinder's Camp
(4,300m)
Day 4: Nairobi
Bed and Breakfast
Depart early and descend for 4-5 hours through
moorlands and bog to the Met Station, before
joining to long dirt road to the Naromoru Park
Gate (2,600m)
You will meet our vehicle and transfer to base
camp for a hot shower and lunch, before
transfering back to Nairobi

Day 1: Mountain Rock Lodge
Lunch and Dinner
Transfer from Nairobi in the morning, arriving
at base camp for lunch
Nature walk lasting 3-4 hours through the
forest to the MauMau Caves, former hideout for
Kenya's pre-independence guerilla fighters who
battled their British colonial masters
Dinner and overnight at Mountain Rock Lodge/
Budget Hotel
Day 2: Old Moses Hut (3,000m)
Old Moses Hut
Full Board
Depart at 10am for transfer to Sirimon Park
Gate
Hike through montane forest, bamboo and
rosewood up to the Old Moses Hut, gaining 700m
in elevation in 3-4 hours
Dinner and overnight at Old Moses Hut
Day 3: Shipton's Hut
Shiptons Hut
Full Board
Depart early and ascend through moorlands,
taking in the stunning scenery and strange flora
along the way
Trek through Mackinder Valley and take a brief
stop for lunch and to appreciate the views of
the main peaks
Gain 900m in altitude in approximately 7 hours
Dinner and overnight at Shipton's Hut (4,200m)
Day 4: Summit at Point Lenana
Shiptons Hut
Full Board
Pre-dawn attempt at the summit begins at 3am.
Hike 3-4 hours to reach Point Lenana, at an
elevation of 4985m, in time to watch the sunrise
Take in the stunning views, sometimes even of
Mount Kilimanjaro miles to the south on a very
clear day
Descend back to Shipton's Camp for breakfast
and a day of rest and relaxation
Dinner and overnight at Shipton's Camp
Day 5: Nairobi
Bed and Breakfast
Descend to Sirimon gate for vehicle pick-up
and transfer back to Nairobi
